I was cleaning out more hard drive space and found a couple of remixes so I'll be posting them up as I clean up the mixes a bit. I think I made this when the Black Album vocals were released but soon realized everyone and they momma was doing remixes so I shelved this project since I'm too cool to roll with the crowd(that's a joke).I'm sure the hardcore Sean Carter fans will find some value.Maybe they'll play it during the Nets opener and help them get to 12-70 this year. I'm a Warrior's fan, I shouldn't talk...
Yeah, this is an older track but I did this remix a while back. Lupe Fiasco was a interesting breath of freshness to me when he first came out and I loved how kick push reminded me of hanging out in the Village in the blossoming turntablist/DJ scene. I don't know why but it just reminds me of that NYC subculture that was around at the time. So I had this upbeat track that I had put together and thought that it might fit well. It had this fun care free energy that I thought the lyrics would fit with. Cuz what is skating but freedom on wheels right? I found this great vocal sample from Erykah Badu's Bag Lady to back the hook up and I thought it completed the whole feel. enjoy and yes I can still Ollie.
